Rev. Vanessa D. Anderson
Rev. Vanessa D. Anderson, born the third child of Rev. and Mrs. H.H. Dyer, was educated in the Atlanta Public School System. She furthered her education at Atlanta Technical College where she obtained an LPN certificate. She has previously worked in the field of home health and mental illness.
Rev. Anderson is a licensed and ordained Minister of the Gospel at New Macedonia Baptist Church. She has served faithfully for over 25 years. Her ministerial gift has led her to minister in different venues, such as Women Conferences, Women Day Services, and Outreach Missions. She has traveled extensively throughout the United States carrying the Gospel of Jesus Christ in her travels.
Rev. Anderson holds an Associates of Arts and Bachelors of Arts in Biblical Education from Beulah Heights Bible University. Her gift to teach has afforded her the opportunity to teach Sunday school, Tuesday night Bible Study, and mid-day Bible Study on Wednesdays. Furthermore, she serves as Spiritual Advisor to the Usher Board Ministry, Deaconess Ministry, New Members Orientation Ministry and Pastor’s Support Ministry.
Rev. Anderson holds membership in the local and state International Association of Ministers’ Wives and is a lifetime member of the NAACP. She is also an active member of the Association of Christian Ministers of Clayton County.
Rev. Vanessa is married to the Rev. Gerry T. Anderson, Pastor of The New Macedonia Baptist Church, in Riverdale, GA. They have been in ministry with the church together for 29 years. They are the parents of three children (Rashel, Kyle and Quin). She is also the proud grandmother of seven (Andrew, Kimberly, Kartier, Joshua, Katlynn and Kyle Jr., and Kayla).
