Rev. Vanessa D. Anderson

Rev Vanessa Anderson


Vanessa D. Anderson, born the third child of Rev. and Mrs. H.H. Dyer, was educated in the Atlanta Public School System.  She furthered her education at Atlanta Technical College where she obtained an LPN certificate.  She has previously worked in the field of home health and mental illness.
           
            Vanessa is married to the Rev. Gerry T. Anderson, Pastor of The New Macedonia Baptist Church, Where they have co labor for 26 years in this part of the vineyard.  They are the parents of three children (Rashel, Kyle and Quin). She is also the proud grandmother of five (Andrew, Kimberly, Joshua, Katlynn and Kyle Jr.)

 

            Vanessa is a licensed and ordained Minister of the Gospel at New Macedonia Baptist church. Her ministerial gift has lead her to minister in different venues such as Women conferences, Women day speakers, and mission out reach. She have traveled through out the Unites States caring this gospel to the end of this world. This year Rev. Anderson celebrated 20 years in ministry.

 

            She serves as First Lady and Associate Minister at New Macedonia Baptist Church.  She has served as Spiritual Advisor to the Usher Board ministry; Deaconess Ministry; New Members Orientation ministry and Pastors Aide Ministry. Rev Anderson’s gift to teach has afforded her the opportunity   to teach for the Sunday school, mid-week bible study, and mid-day Bible Study on Wednesday.  Presently, she holds an Associated of Arts and a Bachelor of Arts in Biblical Education from Beulah Heights University. Along with her duties at New Macedonia Rev. Anderson holds membership in the local, state, and international Association of Minister’s Wives. Rev. Anderson is a lifetime member of the NAACP. She is also a member of the Association of Christian Ministers of Clayton County.
